Our Story

2nd BASE opened its doors in December 2019 inside the SEEKBASE AKI-OKA MANUFACTURE building in Akihabara. The shop was launched by Sanpou Camera, a trusted name in photography retail since 1975 (Showa 50).

The concept is simple: a secret base for camera enthusiasts — a space filled with the gear that passionate photographers love. Mirrorless cameras, manual-focus old lenses, and film cameras take center stage, curated for those who appreciate the character and craftsmanship of vintage equipment.

Think of it as Sanpou Camera's second home, and yours too. Every visit is an invitation to explore, discover, and reconnect with the joy of photography.
